Welcome to Goldentown! A mail club set in a cosy-comic fantasy world by author Poorna Bell that blends magic with all things medieval, combining storytelling with beautiful artwork and illustrations, that arrives in your mailbox every month. (Warning - it heavily features goblins, and follows our main character Emerald who has left her sleepy hometown Rumble, in order to experience life in the big city along with trolls, high faeries, witches and the living dead.)
Along the way, she learns that while not everyone loves goblins, and everyone assumes she’s going to steal their milk - she’s lactose intolerant! - she’s determined to change that. Surely everyone has a bit of goblin in them, don’t they?

This is a recurring subscription unless cancelled. Orders are sent on the 15th of every month (may vary by a few days due to circumstances), and final orders are accepted on the 5th of every month. If the membership is cancelled before the 5th of the month, a refund can be issued for that month. If it is cancelled after the 5th, the cancellation will apply to the following order 5 weeks later.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a mail club?
It is a monthly subscription which allows you to receive a beautiful package of storytelling and artwork in the post, where you can get lost in the world created and spend some time off a screen.
Is it suitable for children?
While Goldentown is aimed at adults, I believe it is appropriate for children over the age of 12. My niece Leela who is 12, has given it her seal of approval.
When do I receive my package?
Orders will be sent out on the 15th of every month, and in order to keep shipping costs low, they will be sent out with the standard mail. The timeframe of when you then receive that letter may depend on your postal service.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
You can cancel at any time through Squarespace, where you made your original order, but please note that due to cut-off points for orders and timeframes for sending them out, you will not be able to cancel the order for that month if it is within 14 days of the dispatch date. Your order will be fulfilled for that month, and then will be cancelled for the following month. For example, if you cancel within the 14-day window for January, you will receive January’s order but February will be cancelled. Orders that are two weeks away from dispatch are non-refundable.
How often are payments?
Monthly payments are recurring.
Who does the artwork?
Every month you will receive original artwork from Emilia Proctor who runs an Etsy shop @goblin_ems, and who specialises in all things medieval and whimsical.
Do you accept refunds?
Goods are non-refundable, but you can get a refund on your order before it is sent out if it is more than 14 days from the dispatch date.
Anything else?
None of the artwork has been created using AI, and your money goes towards supporting a small business. Because it is a very small team working on Goldentown, sometimes there may be small fluctuations in dispatch dates but you will be notified ahead of time and we hope it won’t be an inconvenience!
